GIGATON
Overall
A two-day production in Ireland for Gigaton, capturing interviews and cinematic industrial visuals at a Mannok cement manufacturing facility. Working alongside Creative Director Joshua Osborne, the project combined documentary-style storytelling with high-end production to communicate Gigaton’s mission and vision.
Brief
Create a brand film that explores Gigaton’s work with Mannok and highlights the role industry can play in reducing carbon emissions. The film needed to communicate a complex sustainability message in an accessible and engaging way, balancing human stories, industrial processes and environmental ambition while remaining authentic to both brands.
Execution
Working as Director of Photography, I was responsible for all camera operation across the two-day shoot in Ireland, including all drone operations. Filming took place throughout Mannok’s cement production facility, capturing interviews, operational processes and a wide range of cinematic b-roll designed to showcase the scale and complexity of the site.
The visual approach focused on creating strong industrial imagery while maintaining a human element through interview-led storytelling. Working closely with Creative Director Joshua Osborne, we developed a visual language that complemented Gigaton’s message and brought clarity to a technically complex subject.
Following production, the project was shaped through a collaborative post-production process involving a dedicated editor and sound designer. A bespoke music track and custom sound design were created to elevate the film and reinforce the scale, energy and ambition of the story being told.
Outcome
The finished film delivers a compelling overview of Gigaton’s partnership with Mannok, combining cinematic visuals, authentic interviews and carefully crafted post-production to communicate an important sustainability message. By bringing together strong storytelling, industrial cinematography and bespoke audio design, the project helps showcase how organisations can work towards meaningful carbon reduction at scale.
